One of the most important decisions a parent makes is the name they decide upon for their child. He or she will bear that name the rest of their life. When the birth of the Son of God was announced, His name was declared. Joseph was told to name Him “JESUS.” This was a common name, it was the Hellenized version of Joshua which means savior. The very name that the Son of God was given, the name that is above every other name, is a name that speaks of what He is; our Saviour. Scripture declares that there is no other name given whereby a person may be saved (Acts 4:12), and all we need to do is call on the name of Jesus and we will be saved. It is clear, there is only one way for man to get to God, through faith in Christ, but there are many ways for man to come to Jesus. Whatever you are facing right this moment, come to Jesus. He is the savior, deliverer, rescuer and he wants to deliver you.
